Legend Edwards is awarded CBE 
RUGBY legend Gareth Edwards, the former Welsh scrum-half becomes a CBE in the New Year’s Honours List published today. Edwards, who has been described as the greatest player in the history of the game, won 53 caps for Wales, including 13 as captain, between 1967 and 1978. (30/12/2006 10:01:33)

Each shelter animal has a story 
During the next few months, The Times will feature each of the 10 local animal shelters in Northwest Indiana. This week’s focus is on Lake County Animal Control and Adoption Center. The Times featured the Humane Society of Hobart in November and LaPorte County Small Animal shelter in December.
